Art in Tanzania Compound

The art compound for volunteers and interns in Tanzania is located on Umoja Road, Madale Village. P. O. Box 23333, Dar es Salaam, at KND/WAZ/Nyakaswangwe plot No 118. Tanzania.

Our compound is an eco-compound. We use flush toilets with bio-grade sanitation tanks, compost organic waste, collect urine and shower water, and use it as “grey water” for garden irrigation. We also use bucket showers to save water.

We have about 50 beds available in single, double and dormitory rooms. Our office area offers unlimited Wi-Fi. The large, beautiful garden area features a bar for relaxation and an African kitchen serving a mix of African and Western dishes.

You can upgrade the dorm room to a single room for EUR 49 per week, an additional expense, which you can also share with your friend.

Beds include bed sheets and mosquito nets. All rooms have flush toilets with bio-grade septic tanks.

Our large open office has free Wi-Fi, but it is recommended that you use prepaid personal internet on your smartphone occasionally. When many participants use the office Wi-Fi simultaneously, it may be slow.
