Every placement is tailored to your academic background, professional interests, and personal goals. You may contribute to several sustainability projects such as waste management and recycling, corporate social responsibility, education in schools and the community, planting trees and creating gardens with orphanages, or promoting food security.

Climate Change & Sustainability Education

Currently, climate change and ecological risks are not well understood in Tanzania. Therefore, we support communities in adapting to the growing impacts of climate change.

Possible activities include:

  • Climate change research & education
  • Delivering environmental education workshops
  • Organizing community awareness campaigns
  • Sustainable agriculture awareness
  • Renewable energy education
  • Explanation of grey water use for irrigation and composting

Help raise awareness about environmental protection and sustainable living within schools and local communities.

You may also contribute to creative recycling projects that transform waste into useful community resources, such as using second-hand plastic bottles to build school fences.

Sustainable Innovation & Green Technology

Support practical environmental innovations that improve everyday life while reducing environmental impact.

Students are encouraged to bring their own ideas and help develop innovative solutions for local communities.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR)

As Tanzania is a rapidly growing economy, considerable business activity and investment exist. However, a lack of strictly enforced regulations currently means corporations can exploit the environment and the societies in which they operate. Work with local and international companies to improve their positive environmental and social impact.

Possible responsibilities include:

  • Supporting CSR strategy development
  • Researching sustainability initiatives
  • Building partnerships with businesses
  • Organizing corporate sustainability campaigns
  • Supporting employee sustainability training

You will gain valuable insight into how businesses can contribute to sustainable development and positive social impact.
