Gain hands-on nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, gerontology, and public health Experienes
Tanzania faces a shortage of healthcare professionals, particularly in rural communities, where access to quality medical care remains limited. Our placements support community clinics, hospitals, pharmacies, rehabilitation centres, schools, sports programmes, and public health campaigns. Interns apply their university knowledge in real-world settings while developing clinical competence, intercultural communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Working alongside local healthcare professionals, you will gain practical clinical skills, contribute to community health initiatives, and experience healthcare delivery in a developing-country setting. Public health initiatives focus on disease prevention, treatment, and improving access to care, with a strong emphasis on community-based interventions and digital health solutions.
Whether you study medicine, nursing, pharmacy, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, public health, psychology, gerontology, or another health-related field, you will gain meaningful international experience while helping improve healthcare in Tanzania. Every placement is tailored to your study programme, level of experience, university requirements, and professional interests. You may also combine several healthcare disciplines during your internship.
